OCCASIONS CATALOG IS LIVE AND SALE-A-BRATION IS ON!!!Today I'm sharing something a little different. It's not a treat Box, although I may find some candy that would fit in it! Lol! :) I think these would be such a great alternative for the children to take to school, something other than candy. You know they get plenty of that for Valentine's Day! I know mine do! These are so affordable too! I got the pencils at the Dollar Tree and you can make four pencil holders for $1.00, plus your cardstock!
As you can see I made two different Versions. I was definitely influenced by my 10 year old grandson who doesn't want a Bow or hearts on his Valentine's that he gives to his Boy Friends. So I made a Boy Version. I put stars on the Boys and used Jute Twine for the Bow. I wasn't going to leave off the Heart, because after all it's Valentine's Day, and I couldn't find a small enough Happy Valentine's Day sentiment that would fit!
Real Red or Bermuda Bay for the Box measures 3 3/4" x 7 7/8".
Score on the 3 3/4" side at 1", 1 3/8", 2 3/8", 2 3/4".
Score on the 7 7/8" side at 7 1/2".
